The Future of Biological Sciences
Today's Life Sciences Breakthrough Prize awardees imagine the possibilities
in their fields
December 2,2013
Dear Friend,
We are pleased to invite you to participate in a unique conversation exploring the
secrets of life and the future of knowledge. Join us as we host a dialogue between
several of the world's deepest thinkers in life sciences at the UC San Francisco
Mission Bay campus on Friday, December 13, from 4-5:30 pm with a reception
immediately following.
The recipients of the 2014 Breakthrough Prize will participate in a lively discussion
with a select audience about the future of the life sciences: challenges and
possibilities in the next decade.
The six panelists have made major contributions to human knowledge and
discovery—such as unraveling the human genome, tracing the patterns of
neural activity that allow thought and creativity—thereby leading the charge in
the battle against devastating diseases such as cancer and Parkinson's.
This is an exciting opportunity to hear from the new awardees who will both
challenge and change our view of health and disease. Please respond by December
9 to [email protected].
Best regards,
