AMBASSADOR PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE OF THE REPUBLIC OF PALAU TO THE UNITED NATIONS London, 8 June 2013 Dear Last summer, world leaders tasked the United Nations General Assembly with establishing Sustainable Development Goals that will shape the international development agenda from 2015 and beyond. Oceans are the common fabric uniting states and continents. They cover two thirds of the Earth's surface and are integral to cultures, environments, and economies for hundreds of millions of people, particularly in island and coastal States. It is therefore imperative that oceans are included in the Sustainable Development Goals. To that end, Amir Dossal of the Global Partnership Forum, Ghislaine Maxwell of the TerraMar Project, and Stuart Beck, Ambassador Permanent Representative of the Repblic of Palau to the United Nations along with the Ambassadors of Australia and Barbados to the United Nations, invite you to share your views with a select group of oceans leaders and United Nations Ambassadors on how the world might incorporate healthy, resilient, and productive oceans into the Sustainable Development Goals. We welcome you to join us on 20 June 2013 from 4pm to 5:30pm at the United Nations Conference Building, Room D. RSVP to and please copy Sincerely, Ghislaine Maxwell II GLOBAL PARTNERSHIPS FORUM Creasing SOllai unpact throligh collaboration www.pannerships.org New York, NY 10017 Ph: EFTA_R1_02104134 EFTA02707132
