Phillips has challenged the formal structures of painting with a career spanning more than twenty years and we are thrilled to be organizing his first museum exhibition in the United States. Comprised of significant paintings and sculptures, this seminal exhibition is important for the Dallas community and beyond. The exhibition will survey Richard Phillips' paintings, sculptures and video work from 1997 to the present. The exhibition will be held in our largest gallery space (Gallery 3) at Dallas Contemporary from 11 April through 10 August 2014. I understand that your collection contains a work that would greatly contribute to the comprehensive scope and success of this exhibition.
