The Cancer Nutrition Consortium is a public Foundation (50=c3) composed of 8 research academic centers including
Mayo Clinic, Johns Fl=pkins, Dana Farber, NYU, Cedar Sinai, the Culinary institute of America an= the Biomedical
Research and Education Foundation. Together we have a s=ientific group developing new products to license to
industry to improve t=e lives of patients undergoing treatment for cancer. The products are base= on the two year
research study of 1200 patients. Our first two products i=clude an American ginseng that dramatically reduces fatigue
during chemoth=rapy. Also based on the survey we developed a "clean ensure" tha= removes the soy and all artificial
ingredients and comes as a powder. We =ave a study that is showing preference in head and neck patients and
women=undergoing radical surgery for ovarian cancer. We also developed a frizzed=dried small lozenge that dissolves in
the mouth and delivers probiotics th=t previously relied on a large capsule that could not be used in patients =ith
swallowing problems or in pediatrics.
