From To: "Barry Krischer" Cc: "Lanna Belohlavek USAFLS " Subject: Your inquiry regarding the Epstein case Date: Wed, 17 Sep 2008 15:59:37 +0000 Importance: Normal Hi Barry — The Non-Prosecution Agreement contains a confidentiality provision that requires us to inform Mr. Epstein's counsel before making any disclosure — even a compulsory disclosure. I am cc'ing you on a letter to Jay Lefkowitz, Roy Black, and Jack Goldberger informing them of the request and asking them, as parties to the criminal case, to contact you regarding a possible suit by the Shiny Sheet. On another note, I also will be informing them that I believe that they still have not filed the complete agreement with the Court, as required by the Judge at the hearing. Thank you very much for reaching out to us when you received this request, and if you need any help from us, please let us know. Assistant U.S. Attorney 500 S. From: IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINI. Sent: i r 2:05 PM To: MERCEDES C. ESTRADA Subject: Civil Cases Involving Jeffrey Epstein Hi all — I just received Bert's voicemail message. 1 do not know all of the case numbers of cases involving Jeffrey Epstein. If you go to the District Court's PACER site, and search for the party name of Jeffrey Epstein, they will all come up. The press also has reported that some cases were recently filed in Palm Beach County state court. You can do a similar search on the Clerk of Court's website to find all of the state court cases. Thank you. Assistant U.S. Attorney 500 S. EFTA00208419 01:50 PM Subject: From: John Connolly Vanity Fair magazine Please confirm receipt. It was a pleasure speaking with you this morning. As per your request here are questions I would like to have answered for a piece I am researching on Jeffrey Epstein. As life would have it I am going to be on a busman's holiday this coming week on Singer Island, FL. I would like to meet you and whomever else you think I should speak with. If not, I understand perfectly. Let me preface these questions by saying that AUS.6 who was in charge of the investigation of Jeffrey Epstein has a remarkably record as a prosecutor. I also know that an AUSA does not have the authority to grant a potential defendant a non -prosecution agreement without the permission of higher ups in the Justice Department. Not quite three years ago, the US Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, granted Jeffrey Epstein a non- prosecution agreement in return for his accepting a FL State plea deal for his

Also, when I was looking for the notice of breach letter regarding the work release, I found a letter that I had written to at PBSO regarding FBI's and my investigation into Epstein's sham charity work. I have attached that. That, also, should have formed the basis of a breach of the NPA, but we couldn't breach because of AA's side dealings. I have to run to court. I will answer the rest of the questions when I get back. Assistant U.S. Attorne Fax From: (USAF
