PURPOSE: To establish procedures at the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC), New York, New York, with regard to inmates with a PSY ALERT assignment. 2. DEFINITION: The Case Management Activity (CMA) Psychology Alert (PSY ALERT) assignment is applied to inmates with substantial menial health concerns that require extra care when their housing is changed or they are transferred. Generally, the PSY ALERT assignment is to be applied in special mental health cases that will likely pose management and security concerns for the institution when an inmate's housing is changed or when a transfer occurs.
