The interview was conducted in reference to an official OIG investigation surrounding the death of BOP inmate Jeffrey Epstein, Register Number 76318-054, who was found hanged in his assigned cell in the Special Housing Unit (SHU) within the Metropolitan Correctional Center New York, New York (MCC New York), on August 10, 2019. was the Medical Examiner who conducted the autopsy of Epstein on August 11, 2019. The interview was recorded, and the recording has been transcribed. The interview transcript and documents discussed with during the interview are attached to this report.
