I want to just briefly reiterate that to the extent any of our queries are concerning in the moment, however unintentionally, we will have mentioned to you and Ms. at the outset that she (and you) should please not hesitate to let us know in real time if any question or topic arises that causes concern or issues. And thanks for letting us know on the weather — I may even forego a tie for our meeting in deference to the climate. thank you, From: Jeffrey Pop <I I> Sent: Monday, February 24, 2020 14:35 To: Cc: Subject: RE: SDNY investigation, I want to confirm that we still are scheduled for Friday, February 28, 2020 at 10:00am in my office. From: ) Sent: Monday, February 10, 2020 2:38 PM To: Jeffrey Pop Cc: ); Subject: RE: SDNY investigation, Jeff, I Thanks very much for letting us know on scheduling, and of course no problem for you to take notes however you'd like. For timing, would 10:00 a.m. work for you and your client? And on the substance, by logistical I simply meant the nuts and bolts of how she came to be in contact with Epstein and his associates, what her contact was generally like over time, how she interacted with him and others in his circle—the chronological narrative, but not necessarily including extensive details of the abuse itself. That is to say, I imagine we'll ask some general initial questions and try to have a conversation that includes the topics below in the context of the linear narrative—with the understanding, of course, that we'll be guided by her comfort level as to any area or even individual question. The only other thing I wanted to note is that while we certainly have every intention and hope of covering all the topics on that date, it may be the case that we have follow-up for you and/or your client subsequent to the meeting, particularly if she has information that is relevant to our ongoing investigation. Any such follow-up would obviously go through you per usual, and I expect we would explain the reasons for doing so as much as we'd be permitted, just wanted to note that possibility. Thanks again, From: Jeffrey Pop < Sent: Monday, February 10, 2020 14:57 To: Subject: RE: SONY investigation, I have confirmed that we will be able to schedule the meeting for February 28, 2020 in my office. Normally, I use an ipad to take notes, I imagine that is acceptable. As far as the issues to be discussed, I am not certain what you're referring to with the words "logistical aspect" of account. will discuss the atmospheric aspects as required. EFTA00074303 She will talk about the information she has regarding Epstein's comments regarding "girl finder" Maxwell. She will also discuss her insight of role. She can recall some of the girls that she was directed to have contact with by Epstein. She is hesitant and unlikely to identify the friends of Epstein's that she was directed to visit. Please be good enough to explain the term "more logistical" in your email. I certainly don't want any misunderstanding of the areas of cooperation. did have a comfortable feeling regarding the agents she encountered before I became involved. For this reason, I think that she is willing now to cooperate as set forth up above. It will be good to have this matter finished upon the conclusion of the meeting on February 28, 2020. If it would be possible to meet with you and your client a day or two before that, on the Tuesday or Wednesday, that would be great — but I think you may have said you're particularly available on Monday and Friday of that week, and so if that Friday is what works for you, we could make that happen as well. Alternatively, if that week doesn't work at all for you and your client, please let us know if there's another time prior to then that is preferable.
