We have definitely identified additional victims since August 2019, and FBI victim services will have that information, so I think it makes sense for FBI to provide that information in the first instance, as they'll have the most updated contact information. I'll ask our case agents for the updated list so that I can spot check it for accuracy before FBI shares it. From: (USANYS) < Sent: Thursday, September 17, 2020 11:45 AM To: >; EFTA00091445 (USANYS) I Cc: Subject: RE: Epstein (USANYS) Thanks, . This is actually ODAG, not OPR, but ODAG is asking if we are aware of additional victims who aren't on the list I sent yesterday. Like us, they are taking an extremely broad view and will not distinguish between people who are statutory victims of Epstein's and people who self-describe as victims for any other reason in extending invitations. ODAG seems to think the list I sent around yesterday was our list of invites for the nolle proceeding, which I would have thought included everyone we and FBI had identified as of August 2019. Is that not the case? In any event, I did suggest ODAG reach out to FBI victim services and provided them with the contact information for the key person at the FBI along with and I am happy to reiterate that suggestion. But if we know of victims who aren't on that list, they were asking for our help in adding them. From: sc > Sent: Thursday, September 17, 2020 11:38 AM To: (USANYS) Cc: Subject: RE: Epstein (USANYS) (USANYS) ; 1 >; On the first question, we're to review the list it to see if we have different contact information or attorney information for the listed victims, but I wanted to first clarify what OPR is asking for. In particular, I wasn't sure if you were asking whether there were victims beyond this list that we are aware of. FBI/victim services will likely have a much larger list of victims (including victims identified since this list was generated, victims who were not identified in the previous investigation that gave rise to the CVRA case, New York victims, adult victims, victims of crimes other than sex trafficking, victims of crimes that took place in other locations and time periods, and so forth). It would be helpful to have a sense of what OPR needs, and we can make sure to get them accurate information. On the second topic, thanks for the heads up — I'll check with our case agents. Thanks, From: (USANYS). > Sent: Wednesday, September 16, 2020 10:48 AM To: )°c )'; (USANYS) Cc: (USANYS) Subject: Epstein Hey Team —As I know I mentioned to at least if not all of you, ODAG is in the process of setting up a meeting with victims that will likely occur in DC in the next 3-4 weeks. The meeting is a requirement of the Department's settlement in the CVRA litigation, and its purpose is to explain and review the findings of OPR's investigation. and I have been in touch with from ODAG who is coordinating the meeting, and have shared with her some lessons from our own victim meetings around the time of the nolle last year, and they are a taking a number of steps based on that experience to try to, among other things, minimize the likelihood that substantive victim interactions or statements occur. They have two asks of us. First, they would like to make sure their list of victims is as up-to-date as possible. Attached is the list we sent them after the nolle proceeding last August. Do we have any additions to it? I've also suggested EFTA00091446 reach out to both and the FBI victim services coordinator, but wanted to check with you as well. Second, they wanted to know if FBI-NY wanted to send someone or a team down to DC for this. While entirely up to us, as noted, they are sensitive to the need to avoid this becoming a substantive discussion of any victim's experience and would like to instead offer any victim who would like to discuss her experience the opportunity to meet privately with an FBI agent, so if we would like, we can have that FBI agent be a member of our cased team. I'm also happy to raise with directly, but figured I'd give you guys the opportunity to do so if you preferred. Thanks, U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York Tel. EFTA00091447
