JEFFREY EPSTEIN INVESTIGATION 08/26/2019 UPDATE Child Sex Trafficking: 31E-NY-3027571 • On 08/26/2019 at 10:30 AM EDT, a hearing is scheduled in the SDNY to formally drop charges against Epstein. FBI NY anticipates 20-30 victims to be present during the hearing and they are expected to have the opportunity to speak. • On 08/26/2019, in addition to the victims already scheduled to be interviewed, FBI NY will interview any victim who demonstrates a willingness to speak with investigators. • On 08/26/2019, the New York Times published an article titled "The Sisters Who First Tried to Take Down Jeffrey Epstein." The article references contact with the FBI in 1996. FBI NY determined did contact the FBI in 1996 and an FD-71 was drafted.
