Damian William recently started as the US Attorney for the Southern District and Breon Peace assumed the role for the Eastern District. We were able to discuss some of the priorities for each of our offices. Both have already received briefings from their teams about some of the outstanding work already underway. I wish them both good luck at they start their new positions and I look forward to continuing two of our most important partnerships with SONY and EDNY. Earlier this week, our office, in collaboration with the Counterterrorism Division, hosted a two day CT ASAC Conference. . Thanks to everyone who helped make it happen. I would like to congratulate Detective and Special Agent from C-20. On Tuesday, the NYPD Detectives Bureau presented Detective and SA with an Acts of Valor award for their hard work and dedication in the sex trafficking investigation of lefferey Epstein. Thanks for your efforts in protecting and seeking justice for the young women who were victims of this predator. Well done! A couple of quick holiday reminders. EFTA00155690 On Tuesday 11/09/2021, as a result of the hard work of C-41 on Operation Blood Island, a jury returned a guilty verdict against Nine Trey Bloods gang member LAWRENCE LEWIS, aka L BOOGZ, after a four week trial in EDNY, Long Island. On Wednesday of this week, was sentenced to 10 years' in prison for his direct involvement in a digital advertising fraud scheme through which he and his co-conspirators stole more than $7 million from U.S. advertisers, publishers, platforms, and others in the digital advertising industry.
