Acting SSA Save for phone call? As an acting A/SSA on a new squad, I immediately assessed that there was a communication issue with management at the USAO bypassing the FBI supervisor and instead speaking directly to executive management to have their concerns addressed. This arrangement was out of the normal and dysfunctional. This arrangement struck me as odd and abnormal. I took decisive action to rectify this by alerting management at the USAO to address me as the squad supervisor first which allowed for FBI Executive management to not be involved in the monotony of issues better and more adeptly addressed by the squad supervisor. SDNY kept calling ASAC direct on all issues related to Epstein case. Managed process better — managed ASAC's time and freed him up. Not stuff he needs to deal with Epstein — increase resources to assist case. Came up with a plan — got feedback from agent and then presented my plan to ASAC.
