The Interview focused on the FBI's role in Delaware, SSA Gordon's career, and the Bureau's recruiting efforts. • Detroit - ABC affiliate conducted a welcome interview with SAC D'Antuono. The Interview touched on SAC D'Antuono's career prior to being appointed SAC, his plans for the Division, and his commitment to community outreach and diversity recruiting. The interview is scheduled to air this evening. • Jackson - Division and USAO-Southern District of Mississippi announced that a former member of the Tribal Council for the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, Randy Lamar Anderson, was charged with additional criminal violations in a superseding indictment and arrested for burglary, sexual abusive contact, witness tampering, theft/embezzlement, and wire fraud. Anderson was previously indicted in February 2019 on charges of defrauding the Tribal government. • Los Angeles - ADIC Delacourt participated in a news conference with Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva to discuss FBI assistance in response to a shooting by a 16-year-old student which resulted in the deaths of two students and injuries to 2 additional students. ADIC Delacourt will provide brief comments at an additional news conference held by the LASD at 4 P.M. PST, LASD is leading the investigation. • Los Angeles - Division received inquiries in response to a statement made by Kem County officials confirming that human remains found near Bakersfield, Calif., were that of Ruochen Liao, a victim in an ongoing FBI kidnapping case. Division is declining comment at this time. • Minneapolis - CBS affiliate interviewed SAC Sanborn on Wednesday after she gave remarks at a cyber conference in Sioux Falls, S.D., outlining the cyber threat. The conference was a joint effort between Dakota State University and the University of South Dakota. In the interview, SAC Sanbom reiterated the FBI stance on cyber security and the need for partnerships and cooperation, promoted IC3, and encouraged students to visit fbijobs.gov. • San Diego - SAC Brunner hosted a Joint news conference Wednesday with U.S. Attorney Brewer and local law enforcement partners to announce the indictment of 14 defendants in a $6 million international counterfeit iPhone and !Pad scheme. The news conference generated significant coverage. Division also issued a press release; fugitive information; and photographs from one of the seven locations for use by the media. Division also coordinated with San Francisco Division, where one individual was arrested. • San Francisco - SAC Bennett joined the Pleasant Hill Police Chief and the Contra Costa County district attorney In a press conference to announce the arrest of murder suspect Tyson Moorehead, who was a fugitive for 15 years. SAC Bennett highlighted the work of the Safe Streets Task Force and thanked the partner agencies for their work in finding Justice for the victim's family. • Washington Field - Participated in a news conference with local police departments to announce the arrest of Giles Warrick, responsible for a homicide in 1998 and multiple sexual assaults over the last 30 years in DC and Maryland. WFO and OPA launched a large publicity campaign in 2011. Warrick was arrested in South Carolina. A press release will be issued later today asking for additional victims and information from the public. FERNANDEZ was then moved to K tier Cell 111. FERNANDEZ last day being housed in L Tier was Friday (August 9, 2019) prior to his visit.
