Forfeiture: Due to Epstein's suicide, we cannot pursue a criminal forfeiture. The other option is to pursue a civil forfeiture, which could likely only be secured for his NY mansion. A civil forfeiture could present problems in that it could take away the opportunity for victims to go after his estate and receive compensation. Public Corruption: EFTA00174678 No update. Victim Interviews: No victim interviews were completed this week. However, due to Epstein's suicide, there was a lot of communication with victims to discuss the event and how they were processing it. FBI Hotline Results: • 08/08/2019 - 08/14/2019, FBI Hotline received 14 new leads. All leads have been evaluated and contacted. Digital Analysis: Other Significant Activity: On 8/11/19, a search warrant for the island of Little St. James was sworn out in the District of the Virgin Islands. On 8/11/19, approximately 50 members of the FBI/NYPD traveled to St. Thomas to execute the search warrant. On 8/12/19, with the assistance of CBP and the Coast Guard, a search warrant was executed on the island of Little St. James.
