Anything from your office on the immunity letter and NY trip ---- Original Message From: (USAFL To Cc Sen : e un : : Subject: Epstein -- Call with Roy Black and I spoke with Roy. Roy said that he had called because he had heard that Sad discussed the matter with Barry Krischer and Roy wanted to see if there was any way to wrap this up before July 7th. Roy also said that he had seen a letter froahat said that the matter of incarceration would be left to the State. (I am not certain what letter he is referring to, but I thinkMwrote a letter about not taking a position on where Epstein would be incarcerated, not the length of time.) So, Roy wondered whether we would go away if Epstein took Barry's 60-day deal. =explained that had not had substantive discussions with Barry about the case and that all communication regarding the case is being handled by=and me. In response to the question of whether there was anything that could "make this go away," we said that our position is that if Epstein stops the process in Washington and pleads in accordance with the terms of the signed agreement, then we will perform pursuant to the agreement. explained that if Epstein pleads to something else or gets sentenced to a lower amount, then we will consider that a breach of our agreement and we will proceed accordingly. On that note, has there been any word from Washington? Thank you. EFTA00211941 EFTA00211942

The Blotter: Millionaire Sex Scandal Page 1 of 8 Millionaire Employs Legal Dream Team in Sex Scandal July 28, 2006 3:16 PM Maddy Sauer Reports: Though he's only been charged with solicitation of a prostitute, New York financier Jeffrey Epstein has a dream team of lawyers working on his behalf. A lengthy police probe was conducted in Palm Beach to investigate allegations that Epstein paid young and underage girls to massage him and have sex or engage in sexual activity with him. Police had wanted to arrest him on four counts of illegal sexual activity with minors. While that investigation was ongoing, Epstein's lawyers were already hard at work. His defense team includes Alan Dershowitz, Roy Black, Jack Goldberger, and Gerald Lefcourt. Roy Black, whose former clients include Rush Limbaugh and William Kennedy Smith, said that private investigators were used to investigate the claims made by the young and underage girls who told police they were paid to massage Epstein.
