I believed that I was in the beginning stages of forming a relationship with Paul Gardner. I had found the comment to be odd and frowned a little but ignored it as I thought that the comment may have been something between himself and the woman that I did not understand and had not been told about as Paul Gardner and I had only just met. Paul Gardner had stated that it was his son's mother and that she was mentally unstable and a junkie and that he had had enough of her bullshit and wanted her to leave but couldn't get rid of her. I spent the afternoon and evening with Paul Gardner and his son before returning to my place of residence. We had spent the afternoon at the Port Gerrnain Pub and dined at the pub. I had found the introduction of myself as Paul Gardner's partner to be odd and suspicious, secrecy as to whom I was within the personal setting of Paul Gardner's life. Paul Gardner, Port Germain and our interaction had begun to suffer due to the interaction of which Paul Gardner was sharing with the single mother residing in the rental properly of Georgetown as Paul's demeanour towards myself had changed and he was secretive and suspicious on many occasions. I had started to doubt his honesty and his behaviour. Paul Gardner had started to become verbally abusive calling me words such as whore, slut, slutguts and told me to not ask so many questions and to mind my own business. I started to notice his approach with his child to change in behaviour, short tempered and harsh within his approach towards the child. Then 9 years of age. I had spoke up on numerous occasions about his verbal abuse towards me and had warned him that I would leave the relationship If this continued. Paul Gardner, Port Germain seemed very apologetic towards his behaviour of myself and sincere in his approach. I started to feel guarded and uneasy within his presence and felt that Paul Gardner, Port Germain was holding many secrets from my knowledge. Paul Gardner's approach towards myself changed and his verbal abuse had stopped and started to show a level of respect of which we shared upon first meeting. I was shocked at the comment and instantly Insulted and offended and stood up from off of the table setting and walked away to stand next to the glass panel separating the beer garden from the fish pond in the separated area of the beer garden. I could not comprehend the insulting comment as I had never heard a comment like that before or had never been propositioned with such distaste.
