On the blog, a scientist who reviewed Pivar's book "Lifecode" referred to Pivar as a "crackpot scientist." Pivar is suing Epstein and Seed Media Group for libel and is seeking 15 million dollars in damages. Pivar indicated that journalist John Connolly may be able to provide more information regarding Epstein. Connolly is an independent journalist who had formerly written a Vanity Fair magazine article about Epstein. Pivar stated Epstein does not always tell the truth and lacks a "guilt gene." He stated Epstein is not a good person and described him as a contrarian. Pivar mentioned that Epstein had recently suffered a financial loss of approximately 130 million dollars with a Bear Stearns hedge fund. EFTA00269750
