This is the first of four emails to give you all the updated information on our progress. Marvin's life in Music has been a most important formative influence and complement to his other ways of thinking. As you know, he is a prodigious improvisor of original classical counterpoint music himself. He also wrote an important paper "Music, Mind, and Meaning" which you have probably read. We have created a multimedia version which includes some of his own music, a preface by me, and a reflection by Prof. Tod Machover. Please enjoy the website. Please send comments and critiques, as it is still a work in progress: http://www.illuminium.org/mmm/ The next chapters planned for this website include a more comprehensive library of Marvin's own recorded music, and a chapter about his inventions of the first contrapuntal electronic music generator (built in 60's from 1950's computer mosules) and his invention of the world's first Sequencer-Synthesizer, the Muse. Also attached, is a pdf version of the print version of the "Music, Mind, and Meaning" paper, in case you'd like something to print out. EFTA00365980
