I am attaching two documents. One ("The gratitude society") is an op-ed I'm working on right now. I'll
probably send it the New York Times soon. Feedback is welcome. The other is a paper I wrote a few years ago
that you might find interesting ("if money doesn't make you happy then you probably aren't spending it right").
Your mention of billionaires discussing hobbits made me think of it.
