And this time around, rather than describing is as a simple daring procedure, he said it's surgery (she would go in at 6am and be home the same day).Msked what are the chances it may be a tumor and he said 1 in 10,000. Our internist, who was a major player in his day (Jackie O, Pavarotti, Dan Rather) is now 84, mostly retired, and can't really advise or get involved. We need (a) advice on the above about questions to ask or second opinion and (b) to get set up with an internist who has his act together and is up to speed on the latest in medicine and can act as the traffic cop for this kind of thing. One thing our internist did tell was to go see Edelstein for a face to face and ask him questions, but then, what are the questions?? Any advice, let me know.
