Subject: Quotes to ship Painting from Paris to New Mexico
Date: Tue, 01 Oct 2013 18:15:43 +0000
Attachments: Estimate_1004577.pdf
Attached is one estimate to ship the painting from Paris to New Mexico. This company,
Cadogan Tate Fine Art, was recommended by
. She said they do a fabulous job.
They will handle all the paperwork that is involved and have the import duties taxes billed
back to us...they will only know exact amount once processed by customs in the US. Cadogan
estimates it will be a minimum of $25.00 for MPF and $50 for Bond fee. (Total in US is about
$1908.14)
I will have another quote from TransArt International that Ms. Experton recommended. She has
used TransArt with her clients.
I followed up with TransArt today and they expect to get
back to me tomorrow. They told me the cost to ship will most likely be more than the value
of the painting (US $2500).
I also rec'd a quote from International Freight...they would pick up in Paris and deliver to
their warehouse in Lynbrook ,NY for $1500.00, not including any insurance. This price does
NOT include transportation to New Mexico, which she says they would quote on once the
shipment is at their warehouse in Lynbrook. They have a shipping container leaving France
this week. If you wish to use IFL, they would need to pick up the picture TOMORROW. To get
the painting out of the country, they would need the BILL OF SALE for the painting (IFL will
send email w/directions).
