Dear Jeffrey,
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all
those who have supported my campaign.
Hundreds of people made financial
contributions and their help was critical to the
success of the effort. And it even made press, as
you can see in this article pasted below.
I am both humbled and energized by the
response and am determined to work as hard as possible on behalf of all Americans. If
you are interested in joining this effort by hosting an event or participating in someone
else's contact my campaign at 212-531-2858.
Thank you very much.

Fund-raising surge by Rep. Charles Rangel stity talk of reelection run
Hatton po4 83, rakes in nearly 12000 Or slow first quarter, hinting that *satiation he'll retire might
be premature
Rep. Charles Rangel may have his sights on a new term after second-quarter spike in fund-
raising.
Rep. Charles Rangel has stepped up his campaign fund-raising in the last three months,
collecting nearly $200,000 — suggesting the veteran Harlem Democrat may seek another
term.
Rangel, 83, has been in Congress since 1971, making him the third-most senior member of
the House.

He raised only $35,000 in the first quarter of 2013, generating speculation that he might
retire. His decision to decline comment on his political future has increased that
speculation.
Rangel's increased fund-raising does not mean he definitely will run again — but it gives
him a greater chance of success should he decide to do so.
A Rangel spokeswoman declined to comment.
