It truly enriches our lives. My grandson, Christopher, worked his way through George Washington University waiting tables and later becoming a chef. After graduation, he worked in Washington at Komi's which is one of the elite restaurants in D.C. and when his wife got a scholarship to get her masters in international health from Columbia University, he moved to Brooklyn and worked at Franny's, a restaurant that is most famous for the chefs that eat there. After that he ran a grilled cheese food truck in New York that was chosen the "Best of its Kind" by the New York Times and so impressed the French delegation that he was invited to the Paris Food Show to demonstrate how you can produce gourmet food out of a truck. Glady's, the restaurant he is opening next week, is located at 788 Franklin Avenue in Brooklyn. It's website should be up and running soon and the address is www.gladysnyc.com. In order that you understand what an eclectic restaurant it is, I attach what is presently thought to be their beginning menu, however, his enthusiasm for food will undoubtedly bring daily changes. Lesley, thank you again and if you or your friends find yourselves in Brooklyn and feel gastronomically adventuresome, let me know so I can have a bottle of wine waiting for you when you get there.
