Hi Lesley,
I just picked up your voicemail. I was in the middle of a meeting but had already drafted the response below.
I'm eager to touch base to discuss next steps with Jeffrey. I don't want to disappoint but I've yet to do any
writing based on the Boston trip. I wasn't clear whether that was the expectation (although I took notes
anticipating that it might be the case) since I didn't have a chance to flesh out the assignment with Jeffrey that
day.
I'm wrapping up my full-time contract with the Simons Foundation on May 18 (two weeks from tomorrow),
after which I'll be freelancing full-time. The past month has been intense because of transitioning roles, but the
work is beginning to slow down and I can begin writing for Jeffrey in the next week.
I'd welcome the chance to speak to Jeffrey — in particular, whether there's anything specific he'd like to see
about the Boston meeting. Also, I'm hoping to get a better sense of the scope of the work so I can best manage
my time as a freelancer in the coming months.
I'll get started as quickly as possible and send another update. In terms of a telephone call, I'm tied up most of
tomorrow and next Tuesday but I could speak Monday or Wednesday.
Many thanks,
Lindsay

Hello Lindsay. Hope you are well... Jeffrey is asking what you have written since you attended the Harvard
meetings with him...possibly could you give me a short synopsis? I know he would like to speak with you as
well.
Please let me know how things are coming along.
