January 30, 2017 Dear Mr. Kahn, I respectfully submit my resume for the position of Manager/Engineer. I have extensive experience in managing and supervisory rolls. I have been self-employed most of my working career with as many as eighteen employees. I have experience in property management as a former hotel owner and apartment building owner. I have a strong understanding of guest services and guests needs. My engineering education started back in my early teens working for my father's cable TV company and at an amusement park where you need to learn and understand every aspect of a rides operation along with property management. I moved on becoming self-employed after starting my own contracting company dealing in home remodeling and repairs but soon ended up sub-contracting for larger companies. Everything from landscaping to roof installations and ending up overseeing the construction site its self. During some of these sub-contracting projects I worked for a cable TV company, soon being offered a job running a construction crew building cable lines and performing tower work. This turned out to be an exciting challenge so I worked throughout this company for fifteen years before leaving them to continue my adventures in the tanning business. Moving on in this adventure, I opened tanning salons in State College PA. fighting state and federal regulators on the laws of getting a sun tan. Liability kept me from buying the equipment I needed to operate in the method I wished so I built my own equipment. I soon had tanning equipment that ran on tokens or dollar bills. The Small Business Administration gave approval for two loans to continue to expand my company as I opened additional locations. I originally moved to the Caribbean in 2002 after selling my tanning business. I had few difficulties getting used to the different individual and independent nations in the Caribbean. You learn quickly that it takes a special style of management to get along with unique cultures each island has. I had a successful business selling to four islands. When my wife became ill I sold my company and moved back to the states opening a successful and still in operation beverage retail / wholesale business. Now on my own I am back in the Caribbean again working for a corporation as an engineer. I also assist with BWA, a mega yacht services company giving me the understanding of high profile clients. I look forward to discussing my qualifications with you in greater detail. Sincerely, Joseph DeSantis EFTA00582820
