June 4, 2013 Dr. Sharon Ann Mc Collum, Principal Ivanna Eudora Kean High School 6501 Red Hook Plaza Suite #3 St. Thomas, Virgin Islands 00802 Dear Dr. Mc Collum: As you may recall, Financial Trust Company, Inc. (FTC) wrote to you on May 6, 2010 stating its five (5) year commitment to the continuing education of the youth of the Virgin Islands through a one year college scholarship. FTC recognizes the high cost of a secondary education and would like to do its part in defraying the cost for one freshman student each year. As such, we committed to you that we would provide a Ten Thousand Dollar ($10,000.00) academic scholarship to an Ivanna Eudora Kean High School (IEKHS) graduating senior who wishes to major in math or science at the college or university of his or her choice. As conveyed last year, it is our intention to ascertain the name of the student who meets the following requirements: 1. The student will be chosen by the IEKHS administration based on the student who has the highest four (4) year grade point average in math or science, whichever is higher; 2. The name of the awardees and the school which he/she will attend will be provided to FTC by the IEKHS administration as least three (3) weeks before graduation. 3. This award will be for one (1) years for each student. 4. This award will be granted to a new student each year. 5. The student must major in math or science or a closely related field (i.e. pre-med, engineering etc.) at the college or university of their choice. 6. The check will be made payable to the college or university chosen by the student. 7. The award will be announced of the IEKHS Annual Honors Night. At your earliest convenience, please provide us with the name of the name of the student whom your school administration has chosen to receive the 2013 scholarship award. Please let me know as soon as possible so that we can issue the award. I would like to thank you in advance for your time, attention to and consideration of this matter. With warm regards, Cecile R. de Jongh, Manager EFTA00582928 June 4, 2013 Ms. Carmen Howell, Principal Charlotte Amalie High School 8 and 9 Sugar Estate Road St. Thomas, Virgin Islands 00802 Dear Ms. Howell: As you may recall, Financial Trust Company, Inc.
