DARREN K. INDYKE DARREN K. INDYKE, PLLC 575 Lexington Avenue, 4th Floor New York, New York 10022 Phone: Mobile Email Address: May 20, 2016 VIA EMAIL (orivate.aireraft.sunnortaldhs.Eov) Private Aircraft Support United States Department of Homeland Security Re: United States Registered Aircraft N212JE owned by JEGE, LLC Clearance and Pre-Arrival Requirements for Private Domestic Flights between the Continental United States and the Territory of United States Virgin Islands Ladies and Gentlemen: By letter dated March 15, 2016 (a copy of which is attached for your reference), on behalf of JEGE, LLC, we requested direction from Private Aircraft Support of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security ("DHS") to address the markedly different clearance and arrival procedures among local U.S. Customs and Border Patrol ("CBP") offices for private aircraft traveling between Teterboro, New Jersey, West Palm Beach, Florida and St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, as well as to each such location from jurisdictions outside of the United States. In order to avoid further misunderstandings similar to that which was related in our March 15 letter, we asked that Private Aircraft Support provide JEGE, LLC's Chief Pilot, Lawrence Visoski ("Visoski"), with a standing letter from DHS, addressed to each of the CBP offices in Teterboro, West Palm Beach and St. Thomas, specifying the exact clearance and arrival requirements, including a description of all required filings and documentation, for private aircraft travel between the continental United States and the United States Virgin Islands, as well as for private aircraft arriving at each of those ports from locations outside the jurisdiction of the United States. JEGE, LLC wishes to ensure that its Chief Pilot fully complies with all such procedures that may properly be imposed, and we hope that the information provided in the requested letter would enable it to do so and at the same time establish definitive authoritative guidance that Visoski may present to local CBP offices to avoid further incident. As of today's date, we have not received any communication from Private Aircraft Support, although the differences we have described above and in our March 15 letter persist. Please confirm receipt of this letter and advise if you require anything further for a favorable response. Respectfully, Darren K. lndyke Counsel for JEGE, LLC, Owner of N212JE cc.: Gerardo L Martinez, Supervisory CBPO, Professionalism Service Manager U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, West Palm Beach, Florida area James Heil, Supervisory CBPO, Professionalism Service Manager U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, St. Thomas, USVI EFTA00583035
