The specimen showed the presence of moderate numbers of bronchial mucosal cells and
small numbers of red blood cells, carbon-bearing histiocytes and scanty inflammatory
cells only.
DIAGNOSIS
Lung, BAL cytology:
Inflammatino, no malignant cells seen
Silver stain negative for fungi and PCP
No viral inclusions noted.
