Hazards
Identification
Acute Exposure:
May cause irritation to the upper respiratory tract. Abrasion may cause eye
and skin irritation.
Chronic Exposure:
Long term, excessive exposures with repeated or prolonged inhalation of
airborne dust of this material may cause scarring of the lungs (pulmo-
nary fibrosis), with shortness of breath, chronic cough, and respiratory
assisted heart failure. Prolonged exposure can produce a mild symptom-
atic pneumoconiosis.
Signs and Symptoms of Exposure:
Inhalation — Sneezing, coughing, or other nuisance symptoms.
Eyes— Irritation.
Skin - Mild irritation.
Ingestion - May cause mild discomfort.
Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated by Exposure: Dermatitis, pulmonary conditions
and diseases.

Normal fog or nozzle jet application and/or exclu-
sion of air.
Unusual Fire and Explosion Hazards:
Exposure to temperatures greater than 130° F may
cause this product to become unstable and slowly
auto-oxidize, which generates additional heat.
Under certain conditions, this heat may be sufficient
to cause combustible materials to ignite. It may not
be obvious that the product is burning unless it is
stirred and sparks are apparent. Dust explosions
can occur under conditions of high dust concentra-
tion in the presence of an ignition source.

Measures
Steps to be Taken in Case Material is Released or Spdled: Only qualified personnel who have read
the product Tech-Data Bulletins and this MSDS should conduct these procedures.
Persons not wearing protective equipment should be excluded from the area. Follow
procedures in Section VM-Exposure Controls/Personal Protection. Avoid generat-
ing dust during recovery or disposal. Collect in labeled waste container. If unable to
prevent release to soil or waters of the State, immediate notice to local regulatory
authorities is required.

Precautions to be Taken in Handling and Storing: Follow personal protection procedures (Section
V///)when handling the material. Store In a cool, dry, well-ventilated area, in unopened
original packaging or in tightly closed, labeled containers. Protect from physical

OR WARRANTED BY SCOFIELD, INCLUDING THOSE OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR
PURPOSE. Liability for breach of contract, negligence, or on any other legal basis is limited to the lesser of refund or
replacement of defective materials. SCOFIELD WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSE-
QUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING FOR DELAYS OR LOST PROFITS. Communication of this warranty and its lim-
