Next week, Intelligence Squared brings to our stage a stellar panel of senior MPs and expert commentators to examine the current state of UK politics. As power has migrated to the more hardline elements of the two main parties, where does that leave the millions of centrist voters who are feeling politically homeless? And how will the country deal with the new alignments of metropolitan liberals versus the 'left behinds', graduates versus the uneducated, the young against the old, which revealed themselves so clearly in the vote for Brexit?
