Two different kinds of company: one makes software, the other does designs & prototypes. Design offices have done well in tech (eg Noyes & IBM, Frog Design & Apple), & of course in other areas (Berton et al; Porsche); but, granted, there are no software design houses yet. They'd produce "concept car" software to be picked up & manufactured by other companies (like Pininfarina designs picked up by Fiat, Ferrari etc). Maybe it wouldn't work, but it's an attractive idea; puts all the brainpower in the right place. I'll try to call tmw AM if that's OK. But we don't build any software, just a flash demo or prototype that does nothing but make the idea concrete to everyone. We got this prediction stuff right before; how can we fail a 2nd time to cash in? This way we do; we need no deals w/ plainfield. Don't even want any. Someone else will implement the software & they need a license from us & one from plainfield. That's there problem. The biz plan isn't to stop the future by suing it, but to be in a position to compel interest from large players & make a deal with one. Also this is cheaper that plan 1, & gets off the ground quicker. David On Sat, May 21, 2011 at 9:24 PM, David Gelemter < > wrote: Great! Thanks. I'll you Mon early? Otherwise will try Tues, etc I'm not supposed to mention the Boston guy's name; I know him strictly as an art collector. (But his bks are out of print & last I looked going for over $1000 each for some on ebay. V nice serious, thoughtful guy.) Should have. Even if there's no IP relationship between a new company & Plainfield, no doubt I'm a connection all by myself if we're doing anything in that part of the universe. If you have time any day next wk, I'd still love to know how you size the thing up as we go on to other potential people. Tmw I'm in Boston delivering paintings [to an investor whose financial brilliance is spoken of with awe -- tho not be me]; any other day, M-F? Thanks a lot. Still love to have you in Woodbridge-- EFTA00640636 On Fri, May 20, 2011 at 5:00 PM, Jeffrey Epstein <[email protected]> wrote: tonight? *********************************************************** The information contained in this communication is confidential, may be attorney-client privileged, may constitute inside information, and is intended only for the use of the addressee.
