From: To: Jeffrey Epstein <[email protected]> Subject: Life and a very long email Date: Wed, 20 Apr 2011 12:30:44 +0000 Dear Jeffrey, Even though I'm older, in many ways you're wiser. So I'm askin our advice. I saw a new esterda and I left his office in tears. He's insistin that I Given my general state of anxiety about this issue, I was overwhelmed by his advice and approach. What do you think about Problem #2: Then I got an email from my management company in response to my request for upgrading the appliances, cabinets and electricity in my kitchen and they attached a 57-page document for me to fill out and informed me that there's a $1000 fee for them to approve the work plus a $2500 fee for security in case anything gets damaged in common areas. It's extortion. I worked so hard to get the cost of this project down and then an extra $3500 is thrown in for nothing.I felt very victimized. Problem #3: Being home this week on spring break, I realized that without my work, I don't really have a life. That throws a wrench into my "retirement fantasy". So how do I begin to build a life around relationships and connections to worthwhile people and causes? I know this all sounds crazy, but this week at home is making me realize that a 12-week summer vacation may not turn out so well. My dream is to take a bicycle tour, but I don't want to get stuck with a group of middle aged couples. I have trouble joining groups in general, but when they're all couples, it really makes me sad. Problem #4: I met with a money manager a couple of times and plan to meet again this week, but I'm not sure whether to take his advice. He is recommending a managed portfolio but there's a 2% fee which seems to offset any gains at this point. So am i just this untrusting, misanthrope d000med to solitary confinement? Sorry for the long email, but I depend on your advice and don't have anyone to turn to who is as kind and as experienced as you.
