But of course, you spoke to the guy and have much longer history with (and more info about) all these cats. What was your instinct about Mike (if you can separate that from your current Al outlook). And, if you think Mike was good, is that relationship still in tact at all or is it easier to just start tabula rasa? finally: what is happening w the conference on the island? is that something that you think i really should be at and if so what are the dates or who should i contact about it? (another friend of mine from LA is coming to NYC in early january (jan 7-11) to build a machine that he would like me to collaborate on and i want to make sure there are no conflicts before i commit to him.
