From: To: [email protected] Subject: happy new year Date: Fri, 01 Jan 2016 16:44:24 +0000 Importance: Normal dear Jeffrey something appears to be amiss; we have been hying to schedule a get-together since late September and now you have gone silent only two things have happened since then: i published a book Wild Life in which i thanked your Foundation but also you personally for "supplying an early version of how to organize the chapters" i would not have thought that would be a negative secondly your name came up and John Brockman said a couple of things but i do not remember saying a thing-indeed i have nothing to say, nor do i like talking about people who i regard as friends, and honesty is not John's long suit we have gone through a lot from pre-imprisonment right on through and again i see myself as having acted positively, whether in recommending you highly to a friend of mine (Getty) or defending you against some of the vilification that arrives at your doorstep if i have any of this wrong i would be grateful to be put right and in any case hope you will resume contact in the meantime all the best for 2016 bob EFTA00666261
