Dear Friends and Neighbors:
Early this morning an unfortunate incident involving drag racing in a residential neighborhood
resulted in the Miami Beach Police Department arresting two high-profile individuals, including Mr.
EFTA00676513
Justin Bieber. Fortunately, there were no injuries. I commend the Miami Beach Police Department
for their professionalism throughout the entire ordeal.
Miami Beach is a residential community first and foremost as well as a world- class tourist
destination. Most importantly, our City is committed to the safety of our residents and tourists. As
Mayor, I encourage visitors to come to our city and enjoy our beautiful beaches and nightlife.
However, everyone must respect the law and no preferential treatment will be afforded to anyone,
regardless of their high-profile or celebrity status.
Sincerely,
Philip
