Sounds crazy. Until you realize that she made choices based on a promise she would always be taken care of financially and never have to worry about money. No conditions, no expiration date, period. It was certainly an unusual and generous offer, but it made sense coming from you. I could be ok with doing nothing to advance my future and just spend time with you, traveling freely on your schedule and living your life, because I knew I would never have to worry...or so I thought. I would have been with you anyway but I would have made very different choices that affected my future and security. Yes you talked about things leading to an unpleasant place and to me that place meant not being with you. That was the most unpleasant thought for me, and unfortunately I wasn't able to prevent that from happening, but it was unrelated to the promise of financial security. I hear you now have a different view, but isn't it clear that all those 'irrational' decisions you describe can actually be explained by that security deal? Few years ago you told me you don't remember it, but I refuse to accept that it was a 7 year misunderstanding. I don't know how I'm supposed to deal with that... that was my future at stake and you are saying I simply misunderstood..?
