Good Evening Mr. Epstein,
I have summarized below the soil boring test result from last week by Nutting Engineering which is also
attached
Areas of importance are hi-lited in yellow on the attached pdf.
The Structural Engineer has this report in hand and will have to us by Monday his recommendations so Dan can
give us the budget numbers for your approval to proceed.
One soil boring was performed as more would damage the landscape due to equipment needed. They bored
down 20 feet before they hit rock.
They showed Janusz and Dan the samples taken every 2 feet. Their findings show a layer of organic Brown Peat
at 10' depth to 13' depth.
The first 10' is fine sand and from 13 feet down to 20 was grey fine sand as you will see on page one of the
report - see attached soil profile.
Ground water was encountered at 5' in depth.
As soon as the structural engineer sends his report we will update you. Dan will then start preparing budget
numbers for the repair and we will discuss with Rich a solution to resolve this issue.
Best,
Leighton
