VIRGIN ISLANDS Dear Jeffrey, It was a pleasure meeting with you yesterday to discuss the expansion and renovation of the Library/Study portion of your primary residence on Little St. James Cay. St. Thomas, U. S. Virgin Islands. As you know, we have been looking at different options to expand that area over the last couple of months. Your recommendation to completely rebuild that area as a Great Room is an excellent idea that will create the type of space and presence we both want for that area. We will start to study those options for you to review. At the site visit. you also indicated that you will want to expand the patio south of the pool to match the area north of the pool. These services will require additional Measured Drawings from the Jaredian Design Group, and survey data from Brian Moseley and Associates in order to properly design and review the proposed changes. The "As-Built" information provided by your staff does not accurately reflect what is built on the property. Additionally, now that you will be creating a Great Room on the eastern side of the main residence, you will want to show those changes in the context of the other sections of the residence so that it can be looked at from its entirety instead of a snap shot from a small portion of it. We would like to start measuring the areas that will impact the proposed revisions; if possible we would like to start that process as early as tomorrow, May 15, 2014. Additionally, with your permission. we would like to contact Brian Moseley and Associates to give them direction on the survey information that we need to complete the "As-Built" information. As stated in our correspondence of March 12. 2014 these services will be billed on an hourly basis. Please contact me by E-mail or telephone at your soonest.
