Good Morning, As you know I have been attempting to collect on my final invoices from the work I did at the West Hangar. I completed the work on Tuesday May 15, 2012, at which time Brice came and looked at the job and said it was good and complete. I at that time said I would get him all of my paperwork so I could promptly get paid. As you know, I did not take draws on this job throughout the process, just the initial $1,000.00 down payment. I was told I needed to wait until the job was finished. I borrowed money throughout this job from friends so I could get there and so I could buy the basic necessities (like food) I am not a company, therefor, I do not have the resources to finance a job like this. With that said, the crew that I employed to help with this job need their money also. We have all patiently waited. I was under the assumption that everything was in order and there would not be an issue. I have spent the last 3 days, calling, texting, e-mailing and going in person to the office. I have repeatedly asked if there were issues and the one issue that was brought to my attention was promptly corrected and forwarded to the appropriate people (Brice and Monique), Wednesday I was told that Brice had signed off and they were waiting on Larry's approval, Thursday I was told that Brice had signed off and that he would call Larry immediately and get the process rolling. Friday, I am in informed by Larry that Brice had never called him and that he's not in the loop on this, that these issues are between Rich and Brice. Monique then tells me that no they are not waiting on Larry, they are waiting on Rich. So, with all of that said, you can see how all of these conflicting stories have got me extremely concerned about whether I will even get paid for this job or not! I repeatedly texted Brice yesterday, with no response I texted Larry yesterday, he said he would call Brice and get back to me (that did not happen) and I spoke with Monique yesterday morning who informed me that she would notify me as soon as there was an ok from New York, but didn't say anything about taking the afternoon off and not being there to receive the ok. I realize all of you are very busy people and I am low person on the food chain. But, I worked for 5 1/2 weeks out there and made that hangar a beautiful place, I am EFTA00702108 extremely proud of the work I did there, I charged a fourth of what most people would have charged for that floor (the standard price for a floor like that is $7.00 a foot), with 3600 sf, that is alot of money. I did the rest of the work for a reasonable hourly rate. I am not asking for anything that is not due me. My financial position could not be worse at this time, since my lay off in January from the island, this was the only work that I have done. I am leaving for the states in 4 days. I have many things to take care of before I leave, including paying my employees and paying back the people that loaned me their money to help me get through until I got paid. Not to mention the fact that I literally do not have any food in my house! Hard for people that don't have these kind of problems to comprehend, I know, however, it is the truth! Not being a quote "Drama Queen", just telling the truth. What I want is for someone to be totally honest with me, I don't care who it is. Just tell me when I am going to get a check. I called Rich yesterday and left a message, I tried to get thru to JE, but got voicemail (not sure it's the right number), I hope and pray that Monday, I get paid and all is good. I am in panic mode at this point. If any of you can help me, it would be greatly appreciated.
