This is wrong ( and I do not know why I am fighting on the defensive here). The Bard Festival had one subject a
year, it is great thing with 12 to 14 concerts and a book. Three are orchestral, and it depends on the ASO. Its
economics is that it operates at a loss of 1 million a year. Since it is on a college campus, its ticket prices are
lower and the size of the two halls are 350 and 900. It is over two weeks. I am not a burning man. I will provide
you the economics: pretty simple. Costs each year 1,700,000 with a loss of between 1 and 1.2 million. The scale
and range of programing is truly academic and not wide ranging and not primarily orchestral. But I would hardly
discourage you from supporting it. Its existence is connected to the ASO but it is not a replacement.
