[e rilis Week on Kickstarter
FEBRUARY 02, 2012
Have some fun with this week's projects! You can make a custom monster (they're
cute, don't worry), experience a one-of-a-kind theater show, or cozy up with a new
collection from your soon-to-be-favorite webcomic artist.

Go figure
The only thing more fun than playing with toys?
Building them yourself. Enter Obos, a series of
cube-shaped paper figurines that can be
unfolded and assembled into a variety of weird
and wonderful monsters. Some eat bugs,
some breathe fire — but with a set of totally
interchangeable parts on each, the possibilities
to customize are truly endless.

Adam Conrad and Ben Kelly are bringing St.
Paul, Minn., to life through a multifaceted stage
show that blurs the lines between fact and
fiction in a uniquely modem story about
neighborhood divisions. Mixing traditional
theater with performance art, they'll use
original music, poetry, dance, and even
live painting to create a wholly immersive
experience for their audiences. Not your
average cup of joe!

The artists behind independent publishing
project Benign Kingdom are an accomplished
bunch. In addition to their own highly popular
webcomics, they've self-published children's
books, worked for indie comics powerhouse
Dark Horse, designed posters for Adventure
Time, and more. Now, they've come together
to collect and share their extracurricular
activities with four beautifully bound art books.
Fans and comics enthusiasts rejoice!
