I worked with the sealers on the Staircase, just because, the Steps are very damaged with a lot of nail holes, cuts, dents scratches and the boards on the first Step are scaling from dryness. I applied few layers of sealer as I would like to prepare the Steps to come close as possible what Mr. Epstein requires. This will take few more layers of finish to look decent for Piano finish on the Steps. I finished a lot of Pianos with high resolution finish, however, the surfaces were smooth to begin with. I would like to leave the current finish for few days to dry, so I can proceed with the requirements. If you have any suggestions, or recommendations, please let me know. Kindly, Brandon On 2/12/2015 9:28 AM, Richard Kahn wrote: thanks for update will you be at 9 east this afternoon or tomorrow as i will be stopping by please advise thanks Richard Kahn HBRK Associates Inc. 575 Lexington Avenue 4th Floor New York, NY 10022 EFTA00709572 On Feb 11, 2015, at 8:35 PM, Brandon Thompson > wrote: Dear Mr. Kahn, Thank you for sending me the schedules of the flights. I still did not finish the Staircase at 9 E 71 st. Street. The reason is that Mr. Epstein decided that the Steps be finished like "Piano Finish". This will require more layers of varnish and sanding between the coats. Every consecutive layer of varnish will dry longer than the previous one. Today, working on the Staircase, I found the finish still not completely dry and the sanding caused more damage than good. We may have to wait till I finish this work first. I will do my best to finish ASAP, but I would like to finish it well. Kindly, Brandon EFTA00709573
