I received an answer from the Luis&Clark company. I will ask them to send the information packet with sound
samples. Should I ask them to send one to your address as well so that you can also listen to the samples and
see what you think?

Dear Ms.
I just found this in my drafts folder! I'm so sorry; I must have moved to a different
window before sending it.
We do shi internationally and I have some violins here that would LOVE to go to
I don't think we have any there yet. We would pay the shipping to you, as
you might have to pay import taxes (and if you didn't want to keep it, the shipping back).
The shipping is very expensive so you shouldn't order an instrument impulsively. We ship
by FedEx International Priority for the safety of the instruments and under the terms of
returning it, it would have to be shipped back the same way.
I only ship internationally at the beginning of each week so that the instrument will get
there without having to spend a weekend in a warehouse. If I ship on Monday or Tuesday
you would have it by the end of the week. Occasionally clearing customs takes longer
than this, but usually not.
You can pay by check with a bank check in U.S. Dollars, or you can use VISA, MasterCard
or American Express. You can just go on our website and charge the cello. If the charge
doesn't go through, call the issuing bank of the credit card. As it is such a large amount
of money and is going to another country, your bank might not likely to let it go through
unless you notify them. You also could pay by transferring the money; if you wanted to
do that, let me know and I'll send the bank routing numbers.
Have I ever mailed you a packet of information? If not, I would be happy to. It would
have sound samples and might give you a better idea as to whether or not the L&C is
something you'd like to pursue. Send me your address if you would like more
information and I'll get a packet in the mail to you.
I'm sorry for the delay in answering you.

while studying at

ship internationally? What are the return policies in case I'm not satisfied with the instrument?
