May 15, 2009 Dear Ms. Reich: Your unilateral assertion in your May 14 e-mail to me that there is only a balance of $78,373.54 due to Mr. Epstein is both self-serving and without merit. You have chosen to ignore your legal responsibilities with respect to client funds maintained in your account and have yet to provide a legal basis for your retention of these client funds in order to offset amounts you claim to be due, but which I repeatedly have made clear to you are in dispute. Your transmission to Mr. Epstein, on a schedule of your own choosing, of only small portions of Mr. Epstein's funds, retained by your firm without justification, only served to reduce the total amount you owe to Mr. Epstein.
