Hi there. See if this visio diagram comes through for you. I have been trying to think carefully about how to provide a rich
learning experience for you, a valid charitable component, and a good experience for those with whom you decide to engage.
I think best in "process" mode. I have selected numbers based on my experience dealing with folks and also "quality". I have
also found that if you plan well and work closely with scientists, making contracts with them can count as DCE (direct
charitable expenses). Convenings are P&A costs. I used a 50 person, 3 day domestic conference number from my own
experience.
Probably best to discuss over the phone if you think this is the direction you'd like to take with your philanthropic interests. If
you arranged each of your X ideas into small initatives, that might be a cool way to move forward.
