VI-AMBASSADOR PROGRAM VOLUNTEER FORM In its enhanced effort to build more advanced marketing programs to sell the Territory's key benefits to targeted com- panies, the U.S. Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority (USVIEDA) launched an initiative called VI- Ambassadors in 2012 to assist with identifying, cultivating, and securing additional business investment. The program leverages the Territory's network of business leaders who can influence key businesses in their decisions to locate op- erations in the Territory. In short, the VI-Ambassadors are an additional set of "USVI salespeople." PROGRAM INFO WHO ARE VI-AMBASSADORS? ♦ VIEDC Beneficiaries in key targeted sectors ♦ Stakeholders in the USVI business community ♦ Friends, family and VIEDC alumni who share a passion for the Territory's development OBJECTIVES OF VI-AMBASSADORS ♦ Raise awareness of the USVI as a viable option for investment ♦ Introduce target companies with business expansion plans to USVIEDA ♦ Secure high visibility speaking engagements and hosting opportunities at key industry events ♦ Secure increased investment and job creation HOW IT WORKS Key Beneficiaries are recruited in target industry sectors to support the USVIEDA in promoting the Territory through case studies, testimonial videos, marketing event presentations, advice on targeted events and industry conferences, introductions to industry colleagues and contacts, and meetings with prospective investors.
