These two incredible women are deeply connected to the mission of the DBC and the communities we serve. We are also proud to recognize Steven J. Burakoff, MD, who was recently appointed Dean for Cancer Innovation at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Burakoff will work closely with School and Health System hospital leaders to identify and support opportunities for innovative cancer research, treatment, and education throughout the Health System. Dr. Burakoff previously served as Director of The Tisch Cancer Institute, where he oversaw the expansion of "bench-to- bedside" medicine, making it possible for breakthroughs in the laboratories to be translated quickly into novel therapeutics for our cancer patients. The Dubin Breast Center is committed to providing our patients with the absolute highest level of breast cancer prevention, screening, treatment, and survivorship. DBC offers a full range of leading-edge breast health services and a strong focus on the holistic health and wellbeing of individuals with or at risk for cancer. A hallmark of DBC is our commitment to care for patients from every New York City neighborhood and beyond ensuring each patient receives optimal care, regardless of their ability to pay.
