The items left to complete are installing regulators on alternators, install engine hatches ,reinstall engine floor boards and reinstall port starter motor. It was a pleasure to be involved in making these many improvements to Big N, she should give you many years of service, please remember that she is a 40 year old vessel and will need a regular service program to keep systems in good operational order. These many months of working on her I understand that Big N is a major transport vessel for the Island. My recommendation would be the have a marine surveyor work up a maintenance program for both daily and long term maintenance. It would be a good idea to have this marine surveyor involved now before the vessel leaves our yard so we can review the plan together. For long term maintenance, in two years time I would recommend to make additional repairs to the forward hold area bottom plating, as corrosion is present and will have to be monitored. Items left to be completed by Bosco are: the bilge manifold system, this system is involved and will take time to make complete repairs in the meantime I would advise to make watertight the bulkheads where the bilge piping penetrates. This would be a safety issue. Second item would be the stand pipes for exterior railing, pipes are loose and may need new stanchions.
