One of my favorite books is Michel de Montaigne's Las Essais which I used to read often about 25 years ago. Senaca's reminded me of Les Essais. In another word, Montaigne apparently seems to be borrowing the style of writing and concept from Seneca. Anyway, DE BREVITATE VITAE was a good reading, but to me, through Les Essais or through my life so far, I thought I already knew all his points. Rather, I thought he might have been trapped himself by a specific thought - like philosophy especially Aristoteles. I would say, take it easy. As long as I hold my life myself, I decide what I want to do myself, and leave me alone. :D Having said that, it is so true that there are so many people including smartest, richest, and most powerful people, who are being fooled around by themselves and not happy. Too sad.
