We previously discussed how to balance the Trustees' desire to have direction from Leon, on the one hand, and limiting indicia of control, on the other. Subsequently , Ada sent me a proposed Trustees Resolution and Letter, which specifically dealt with two purchases. I have modified the documents to provide a different aproach. Specifically, rather than having Leon provide advice to specific acquisitions, I have drafted a standing letter with general advice that can be relied upon going forward. This letter deals with three specific items: acquisitions of art; providing an opportunity for the children to learn by making investment recommendations; and risk tolerance. As for the resolution, it deals with acquisition of specified works of art. I welcome your thoughts as to whether we have struck the right balance and whether the Trustees will feel comfortable with the more general advice. Please note that, since Ada had been in touch with me concerning this issue, I have sent her these documents. I am happy to discuss. Thank you.
